A Day in the Life of an HVAC Service Technician
The HVAC Service Technician position will work as part of a dynamic and passionate team to demonstrate technical competency and ensure desired sales metrics. They will diagnose and repair heating and cooling systems and lead customers to informed and confident buying decisions by establishing customer rapport to sell the right products and services. HVAC Service Technicians ask the right lifestyle questions to troubleshoot heating and cooling system malfunctions. In addition, they’ll educate and assist customers in choosing the best finance options and maintenance plans. HVAC Service Technicians explain replacement opportunities for aging, inefficient or underperforming systems. They’ll understand their sales criteria and hold themselves accountable for exceeding revenue goals and show themselves as professional and knowledgeable to win new referrals and repeat business. HVAC Service Technicians maintain a clean, organized job site and well inventoried truck and participate actively in all training and ongoing education.
What you Need to be Qualified for the HVAC Service Technician Position
In order to be qualified for the HVAC Service Technician position, a proven track record in heating and cooling systems is required including the ability to draw simple diagrams, read blue prints and other diagrams and understand sequence of operations. A clean, safe driving record and a valid Driver’s License is required for our HVAC Service Technicians. Our Service Tech’s need to be highly organized with exceptional follow through abilities along with strong verbal and written communication skills. Their passion about the HVAC industry and high integrity with advanced social skills will help in their ability to make solid connections and repeat business.
